N2 - In the compact helical system, several bifurcation patterns have been observed in potential profiles of electron-cyclotron-heated plasmas. In a bifurcation pattern with a strong shear of radial electric field, an internal transport barrier is confirmed to be established for electron thermal energy. Probabilistic treatment with realization of the pattern or internal transport barrier is discussed.
