N2 - We propose a method for clipping a rectangular region from an image by minimizing a weighted intersection of two color histograms which are constructed with pixels included in the inside and the outside of the rectangular region. Furthermore, we extend the clipping method for images to that for videos. Experimental results show that the proposed method can clip the regions of objects from images and remove the regions of backgrounds.
