Human Close Contact Behaviour in a Non-Homogenous Indoor Population

In a multinational graduate school student laboratory, we investigated human close contact behaviours through high-resolution video camera data collected for five consecutive school days. We characterize close contact behaviour from stochastic interactions in terms of interpersonal distance (IPD), homophily, posture, duration, and frequency of contact in a non-homogenous population. This data can be used to improve targeted epidemiological analyses for indoor occupant health decision-making as well as strategies at diverse community levels.
