title = "Fabrication of nanotubular membrane electrode assembly for a solid oxide fuel cell",
abstract = "This study describes the production method of arrays of hollow nanotubes with the closed end for a membrane electrode assembly (MEA) of a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC). 50-nm-thick yttria-stabilized-zirconia (YSZ) is grown on surfaces of electrodeposited Ni nanowires by atomic layer deposition (ALD). By dissolving the Ni nanowires in a nitric acid solution, hollow YSZ tubes are made. As a result of the calculational analysis, a forty-fold increase in the surface area compared to a flat electrolyte membrane is expected.",
