N2 - In order to utilize the adsorption chiller or heat pump as a next-generation air conditioning system, several issues still remain, such as performance improvement, miniaturization, and cost reduction. It is known that the activated carbon-freon refrigerant pair has a relatively lower coefficient of performance (COP) than the silica gel-water or freon refrigerant pair and zeolite-water pair. However, there is a possibility to contribute minimize the adsorption heat pump system utilizing Freon refrigerant since it works in high-pressure regions and has a high saturation vapor density. Therefore, evaluating and improving the performance of Freon refrigerant is an important future task.
