Crosstalk and Uniformity Analysis of Fingerprint- On-Display Technology using Pinhole Imaging Technique

Recently, the application of Fingerprint on Display (FOD) has attracted the attention of researchers. This system integrates optical sensors, used as the image sensor, and display for the biometric fingerprint scanning functionality. There are several approaches to consolidate this functionality within the entire display area. The whole display sensing area can be achieved by using the organic photodiodes as one of the advantages is large-area deposition capability compared with the inorganic photodiodes. However, several challenges need to be addressed before realizing this system. Here, we have investigated the pinhole imaging technique to estimate the light distribution on the sensor pixel through the analysis process and identified the issues and important parameters to improve this system in the future.
