抄録
The commercial application of the pyrolysis of ethylene dichloride (FDC) into vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) has been established. However, one problem which is coking, that causes the reduction of heat transfer in the reactor and heat-exchanger and plugging the gas flow to increased pressure required remain to be solved. Hence, in this study, the features of coke produced in a commercial process unit are described with the purpose of clarifying the mechanism of formation and to find a way to suppress its formation.
