The incidence of brain radiation necrosis is increasing in NSCLC patients undergoing radiotherapy for brain metastases. • [¹¹C] methionine–PET and MRS are valuable tools for diagnosing brain radiation necrosis. • Bevacizumab is an effective treatment for brain radiation necrosis in patients with nonsquamous NSCLC.
