抄録
Three-dimensional unsteady numerical computations were carried out for buoyancy driven convection of an oxide melt (Pr = 10) and radiation from the free surface of the fluid in a vertical cylinder. The fluid was assumed to be incompressible, Newtonian and Boussinesq. Three-dimensional structures of the non-axisymmetric flow were investigated in the present study. Temperature distributions on the vertical wall of the cylinder and radiative heat transfer from the free surface of the melt were found to play a key role.
