N2 - The Modified Bayesian Method for estimating directional wave spectra from HF ocean radar has been improved. In this paper, we have proposed methodological approaches in order to overcome the numerical instabilities that remain at the lower spectral frequency. The improvement results show that the estimated directional wave spectra are in good agreement with in situ observation. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been also numerically confirmed by actual field data.
