Abstract
Yukio Mishima (1925-1970), the representative writer intruded into Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's office in Tokyo and suicided on January 25, 1970. This was well-known "The Mishima Incident." We can explain the cause of Mishima's suicide from different views, but we can also know that behind the incident and Mishima's behavior, there was Bushido from Hagakure by reading Mishima's articles written after World War II. It is undoubted that there is a profound relationship between Mishima's second half of life and Hagakure. I expounded the influence of Bushido from Hagakure on Mishima and his responses, to explain the cause of his suicide from the view of Bushido from Hagakure.
