N2 - Tanaka et al. reported interesting data on the discrimination threshold (DT) for temporal deviations in click sequences. In particular; the group reported 11 ms difference between the DTs of t3 and t1. In this work, using an adaptive method with a standard sequence, DTs of 28 ms and 28 ms, and PSEs of 169 ms and 185 ms for t1 and t3 have been observed. This pattern of no difference between the DTs of anisochrony for t1 and t3, but a significantly larger PSE of t3, appears to be very robust, because it has also been found in the other three conditions. Further work needs to be carried out to investigate what caused the mysterious discrepancy between the results of the present work and those of Tanaka et al.
