Abstract

A lumped constant model was used to conduct simulations, using a microcomputer, of vertical Bloch line propagation into and out of the tip head of stripe domains. The central stripe of an 11-stripe configuration was considered, and it was assumed that the domain wall movement and the VBL movement are uniform. A trapezoidal drive pulse of 1 Oe amplitude was assumed, and drive pulse field margins for VBL propagation into and out of the stripe domain head were determined, for bias fields of both 30 and 40 Oe.
