Abstract

Angiogenesis is important in the pathogenesis of cancer and ischemic heart disease. Vascular endothelial growth factor targeted RNA interference is a very promising tool for modulation of blood vessel growth as recent studies show. This article tries to summarize the basic ideas behind the experimental use of RNA interference to regulate angiogenesis.
