Abstract

This paper describes the validation of frame analysis modeling of wood frame structures with visco-elastic structural control devices. The accuracy of the analytical model is confirmed by comparing it with the experimental results of pseudo-dynamic tests and shaking table tests. The effects of temperature variation in the visco-elastic material are investigated by seismic response analyses. The analysis results show that these devices have exhibited high performance than others when the temperature of the visco-elastic material was 16°C .
