Abstract
Fluctuations of heat transfer have been measured in the regions of interaction between oblique shock waves and turbulent boundary layers. A new type of heat transfer rate gauge with high spatial resolution and fast response was used for the measurements of heat transfer rates. Results are compared with the wall pressure fluctuation measurements done by authors at the same test conditions. Experiments were made at a nominal Mach number of 4.
