Abstract
Two-stage hydrotreatment consisting of extensive hydrogenation below 400°C and hydrogenative cracking at 420-450°C performed efficient removal of nitrogen and cracking of paraffins in heavy coal liquids and coal tar pitches, improving the quality of coal liquids and the coking properties of coal tar pitches.
