Abstract

Turbulent flame propagation of premixed mixture was simulated by the Fourier spectral collocation method in two dimensional space. The influence of turbulence intensity and turbulence scale on the flame propagation was examined. Burning velocity obtained by the simulation was compared with measured one in order to evaluate the simulation results quantitatively in the both laminar and turbulent flow cases. Turbulent burning velocity by the numerical simulation did not agree with the measured one, though the simulation gave burning velocity almost equal to the measured one in the laminar flow case.
