Abstract
A simple approach to generating sharp molecular fluorescence from the surface of a PD buffered nanoscale layer of H2TBPP molecules on Cu(100) by STM was demonstrated. The PD monolayer was shown to act as a spacer layer to enhance the decoupling of the electronic state of H2TBPP molecule from the Cu substrate. Upon electron injection, the H2TBPP molecules were excited and then decayed via two channels.
