Abstract
Sequential electron-transfer experiments involving carbon nanodots (CNDs) by a titration method revealed the electron storage and discharge properties of CNDs. The CND accepts electrons from the methyl viologen radical and discharges them to redox species having appropriate reduction potentials. We succeeded in estimating the upper-limit reduction potential of the stored electrons in CNDs.
