Abstract

Mixture of telechelic polymer with carboxyl groups at both ends and a crystalline aliphatic amine, stearylamine, was found to form ionic complex at all temperatures measured. The sample had a thermal transition peak in the DSC thermogram. Viscoelastic measurements showed that the sample behaved as an elastic solid at room temperature and as a viscous liquid at high temperature. In this consequence, it was found to have a thermoplastic property.
