Abstract
Pressure cyclic life tests of Mg2Ni and Mg-5 wt%Ni using high purity hydrogen were performed. The amount of desorbed hydrogen Mg2Ni has not changed up to 1500 cycles. On the other hand, a drastic decrease in the amount of desorbed hydrogen was observed in the case of Mg-5 wt%Ni. It was found that sintering of the hydride bed of Mg-5 wt%Ni hindered hydrogen diffusion.
