    Abstract

We investigated the host emission of the undoped BaMgAl10O 17 by photo-luminescence measurement experiment and theoretical calculation. We also investigated the host emission of the SrMgAl 10O17. The intensity of the host emissions from both were significantly decreased by rising the temperature. Molecular dynamics simulations showed large vibration of the Ba/Sr atoms than those of other atoms in both materials. Therefore, the temperature dependency of host emission can be attributed to vibration of the Ba/Sr atoms.
