Abstract

Technology policy plays a prominent role in making progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This special issue addresses the question of how different science, technology and innovation (STI) policies in different localities around the world could promote the greater global good by helping to achieve the SDGs by 2030. In addition, we take a critical look at the challenges posed by the uneven global distribution of innovation and development capacities.
