Abstract

Block copolymers which consist of poly(methyl methacrylate) and random copolymer of methyl methacrylate and methacrylic esters with alkoxyamine moiety (1) were prepared by ATRP technique and polymers with controlled molecular weight were obtained. By heating degassed anisole solution of 1 at 100°C, localized cross-linking reaction occurred as a result of radical crossover reaction of alkoxyamine moieties to form multi-armed architecture. Molecular weight and polydispersity at equilibrium state strongly depended on the primary structure of 1.
