Abstract

A series of mononuclear tethered complexes, RuCl ₂(η ¹:η ⁶-aminoalkylarene), in which the η ⁶-arene group and the ligated protic amine group are connected by suitable aliphatic carbon chains, were synthesized from RuCl ₂(η ⁶-PhCO ₂C ₂H ₅)(aminoalkylarene-κ-N) complexes via an intramolecular arene displacement reaction.
