Abstract

Organic transparent image sensors with polarization-sensitive capability have been demonstrated. When perpendicularly polarized light to the molecular orientation axis was used, reflectivity of the imaging objectives were successfully detected by the photo-diodes made of stacked layers of a well-aligned 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic-bis-benzimidazole (PTCBI) and non-aligned titanyl-phthalocyanine (TiOPc).
