Abstract

We designed portphyrin 1 bearing rotational units at meso-position and porphyrin polymer Pn which has double decker Ce(IV) bisporphyrinate as rotational units and Zn(II) porphyrin as recognition sites alternately. We expected that compound 1 could form one-dimensional supramolecular polymer with Pd complexes, whereas polymer Pn would be expected to fold at the vertex double-decker porphyrin complex in the presence of guests.
