Abstract

For the purpose of sub-millisecond wavelength switching, the feedforward current control technique was applied to the DFB laser. At the switching from 191.2 THz to 191.0 THz, our designed controller successfully reduced the wavelength switching time of the tunable DFB laser array down to 800 μs.
