Abstract

Previously, we reported that the hydrogen-bonded network structure of water in the vicinity of zwitterionic polymers such as carboxybetaine polymes was not significantly disturbed using vibrational spectroscopies. In this report, we have studied interaction between various zwitterionic polymers and biomolecules to clarify the reason of excellent biocompatibility of these polymers.
