N2 - This paper considers that the most economical ventilation network control is obtained by the least change of resistance, whether increasing resistance or reducing resistance performs the control. Based on this idea, a new method for the optimization of mine ventilation network is presented and its usefulness is illustrated by an actual example from the cost of electric power and the cost of construction. Then, it is discussed to judge that the control of ventilation network is optimal in what way, and a judgement method is given from the economical standpoint.
