Abstract
The present article studies experimentally the behaviour of reinforced concrete simple beams connected with a steel joint, comparing it with an equivalent beam without the steel joint, to assess the efficiency of the joint in transmitting the required bending moment. In addition, analytical solutions for the inelastic behavior of the beams mentioned above are presented.
