N2 - This paper describes an analysis method to simulate the behaviour of timber in consideration of destruction. The simulation method is presented based on Distinct Element Method which is operated on discontinuous bodied to compute the displacement of particles. The main feature of the proposed method is that partial destruction can be calculated without special consideration. Although the method is still not completed against contact problem, the construction of model is simple, and can be applied to discontinuous bodies in the future. The validity of this method is verified through the simulation of material tests.
