Abstract
Static and dynamical properties of a magnetic vortex stabilized in a regular polygonal nanomagnet were investigated. We have demonstrated that the chirality of the magnetic vortex in a odd-sided regular nanomagnet can be controlled by the in-plane magnetic field. We also observed the resonant spectrum of a vortex core in the triangular nanomagnet using the homodyne detection technique. The resonant frequency of the vortex core in the triangular nanomagnet was found to be higher than that in a circular nanomagnet.
