Abstract
The paper is concerned with computer aided design (CAD) program package developed for control system design of a nuclear steelmaking process. The program package is based on the state space method and has functions of simulation, data base management, analysis and design. In the simulation part, there is the function to construct a linear system with an arbitrary configuration by linking linear subsystems in the database, and to register in the database as a new system. The simulation in CAD is done interactively and is used to evaluate the performance of the control system designed by CAD until a satisfactory system is designed.
