Abstract

We identified amino acid sequences with strong and high specific binding for isotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) (it-PMMA) by using phage display peptide library selection. For detail examination, binding kinetics of chemically synthesized peptides (of the sequences) was investigated by SPR measurement. The peptides specifically bound to it-PMMA rather than syndiotactic PMMA. These observations show that the peptides are recognizing isotacticity. Association rate constants and dissociation rate constants were related to amino acid and/or peptide sequences and those will be discussed.
