Abstract

A method to exactly deal with random-phase approximation (RPA) correlations was derived. The resultant method is equivalent to a recently proposed integral representation and allows the calculation of the exact RPA correlation energy in a numerically efficient way. With this method, the pairing correlation in rapidly rotating nuclei can be studied in detail.
