Abstract
Eco-cement has been produced from incineration residue of municipal refuse. The reinforcement technique should be developed for the wide application. The bending strength was effectively improved by the addition of carbon short fibers. The chemical conversion of coal fly ash to zeolite has also been receiving a lot of attention. Silica and alumina included in the fly ash were converted to zeolite by treatment with NaOH aqueous solution. High cation exchange capacity above 250 meq/100 g was achieved by control of the reaction conditions and selection of coal fly ash sources. Furthermore, it was found that microwave radiation was useful for enhancement of zeolite formation.
