Abstract

We have investigated the spin transport in superconducting Nb wire by using a lateral multiterminal superconductive/normal/ferromagnetic metal junction. The spin polarized current exhibits a longer Cooper-pair recombination time than the unpolarized one because of the spinflipping. A pure spin current injection is also found to induce nonlocally the quasi-particle and supercurrents in the superconductor.
