Abstract

The results of a study of resistivity and magnetoresistance of the polycrystalline Ce2Fe17 compound under pressure up to 10kbar at magnetic field up to 9T are presented. The giant magnetoresistance observed under pressure at 4.2K is a consequence of metamagnetic transition from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic state. It reaches the value of 42% under pressure of 5kbar.
