Abstract
Heat-capacity measurement has been carried out on the Haldane system NENP under hydrostatic pressure. It is found that the energy gap increases sensitively in proportion to pressure, and the amplitude of magnetic heat capacity also enhances with increasing pressure except its initial value at ambient pressure, which may be caused by the pressure-induced change of interchain interaction and anisotropies in this 1D-HAF system.
