Abstract

Reduction of AuCl₄ by sodium borohydride in the presence of quatemary ammonium disulfide gave an aqueous dispersion of cationic gold particles in nano-dimension. These cationic nanoparticles could be assembled effectively on an anionic amphiphile layer with a close-packed structure.
