Abstract
The paper is concerned with the position control of a floating structure against external forces such as ocean current and waves. The controller was designed using a neural network, and several model experiments under oblique incident waves and current were carried out to verify the ability of the neural network controller using a 1/100-scale model (Length; 1.0m, Breadth; 0.64m, Displacement; 376.3N). The method of the design of the neural-net controller and experimental results are shown in this paper.
