Abstract

By using a high magnetic field of 10 T, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were aligned in the monomer solution, followed by chemical polymerization of the monomer matrix. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), magnetic susceptibility, electrical conductivity, and elastic modulus measurements showed that the MWNTs are aligned parallel to the magnetic field inside the polymer matrix.
