Abstract

We recently reported a noninvasive registration method, namely STAMP, for accurate image-guided temporal bone surgery. In this study, we modified our STAMP method to make the procedure as simple as possible in the operating room. We attached a pole with optical markers on the STAMP template and finished most of the registration process pre-operatively. This "pole STAMP" method offered quicker registration without compromising registration accuracy.
