Abstract

Polymer stabilized blue phase (PSBP) with different chiral pitch was prepared to investigate the relation between electro-optic response and the chiral pitch of PSBP. The stabilized temperature ranges of each PSBP were around 100 K. The effect of the chiral pitch of PSBP on the Kerr constant and the response time was almost same with the result of pure blue phase (BP) that is the Kerr constant of PSBP was proportional to the cube of the chiral pitch.
