    Abstract

This paper introduces a concept of wireless power transfer using light as a technology for dynamic wireless charging of moving objects. Consequently, several experimental tests are conducted as proofs of concept, using both visible and invisible lights for ground and aerial vehicles. It turns out that this optical wireless power transfer method could be employed to dynamically charge small moving objects such as small drones, small consumer electronics, etc. Therefore, it could be considered as an emerging technology for advancing the convenience, comfort, and mobility of human daily life.
