Abstract

This paper deals with a new class of equalizations for Multiple Codes-Code Division Multiplexing (MC-CDM) signals. Criterion of the equalization is to equalize a distorted modulation block so as to be one proportional to the original waveform of the source signal block during its limited time span. A key idea is that the criterion is only applied to during the source signal span and no attention is paid to for any time space else other than the span, which is discriminated from the traditional inverse Filter in which the same criterion is applied for infinite time space. This paper also proposes an inter-modulation block interference (IBI) canceller for further improvement of the equalizer. Simulation results ensure improved BER performances by combination of the proposed equalizer and the IBI canceller in comparison with OFDM.
