Abstract

The paper discusses a unified approach to scheduling problems of shipbuilding lines based on linear system representations based on Max-Plus algebra, which makes it possible to solve the scheduling problems to keep delivery dates strictly by adjusting arrival times of parts or materials based on model predictive control theory. It is discussed how to model a complex shipbuilding line consisting of assembly lines and stockyards. Simulation results show that the scheduling problem can be effectively solved.
