Abstract

Biocompatible honeycomb-patterned porous polymer films (HFs) were prepared by using self-organization process. This study was aimed to investigate the possibility of HFs as the cell scaffold for the periodontal regenerative therapy. Periodontal ligament (PDL) cells cultured on HFs changed the morphology and expressed osteopontin (OPN), suggesting the enhanced cell differentiation. HFs may be applicable to periodontal regenerative therapy as a functional scaffold.
